A Washington D.C. Engagement

October 4, 2017

Matt & Kalee

This morning was a dream! After they told me their location idea, Kalee and Matt totally trusted my crazy talk when I told them that the BEST time to shoot their Washington D.C. engagement session was at SUNRISE. Yes. Sunrise. 7:00AM currently. Driving though rush hour traffic from all the way down in Southern Maryland. In the cold. I knew that they thought I was a psycho but I think they finally saw the light at the end of my crazy tunnel when they realized that we had the Jefferson Monument LITERALLY all to ourselves. Well, and some really nice police men and grounds keepers.

We have known Matt and Kalee for quite the while – as mostly everyone in Southern Maryland knows each other! So we were SUPER flattered when they said that they loved our work and wanted us to do their engagement session for them! Then of course once they mentioned D.C. and said they were up for sunrise, well, my little photographer heart just about jumped out of my chest with happiness!
