Amanda & Josh
You may have noticed that our blog has gone a little radio silent last week. For those of you who do not follow us on Instagram, we have been trying to update y’all as much as possible with our home renovations! The new flooring goes in on Wednesday, paint gets finished up today and tomorrow, and then we get to start decorating to the nines for our holiday mini sessions on Saturday which we are SO DANG EXCITED ABOUT!! On top of moving, I came down with some nasty cold, and had to postpone session due to being sick and of course the rain that just never seems to stop. So you could easily say that I was MUCH looking forward to meeting Amanda & Josh for their St Marys College engagement session yesterday!
Amanda & Josh actually met in high school and would always say hello to each other in passing, but they didn’t get to know each other until sometime in college when they both attended St Marys College together. Josh was really supportive during Amanda’s senior thesis struggles, and he asked her to have dinner with him to celebrate her progress. Amanda said yes right away! Two years later, Josh recreated their first date. They went to the same restaurant and saw the same movie. It was amazing timing!! When they got back to his house, they were walking around his backyard where he has a pond, and as they were getting ready to go inside, he said that today was a very good day, and a recreation of a momentous days in their lives. He said, “let’s make this another one” as he went down on one knee and proposed!!! What a romantic!!!
So, for their engagement session, we took it back to where it all began, at their college! The leaves were PERFECT and because Josh and Amanda chose a sunrise session, the campus was empty and the light was stunning.
