Behind The Scenes
This weekend, we checked off a HUGE career bucket list item off of our always-growing, always-evolving list! We hosted our very first photography workshop! 11 ladies came over to sip good wine and learn how to better themselves by learning more about light and how to use their camera in manual mode. These women were not only eager to learn, but they are some of the most kind and caring people we know.
We’ll be honest, we had no idea if we were going to like hosting a workshop. You never know until you try! So we poured HOURS of education into a presentation complete with a coffee hour, cookies, giveaways, lunch included, AND head shots! AND WE LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! This entire day would not have been possible without the help of our dear friends, and the #CostolaTeam. Thank you so much Caroline, Hannah, Marie, Holly, Kait AND Carlos!!
Marie ran around like a crazy lady and took some behind the scenes photos for us to document this major moment! Enjoy!
The most amazing part was seeing the before and afters that our students had just over a few hours. We asked them to go outside and grab a partner to take some pictures of them the way that they have been taking photographs so far. THEN, at the END of the workshop, we had them go outside and retake the same picture after knowing what they now know! These images are STRAIGHT OUT OF CAMERA, no editing at all, on Laura and Jessica’s introductory cameras! Look at the difference in lighting and exposure!! The before is on the left (obviously) and the after is on the right!
We finished off the long day by taking head shots for all of the ladies and it was so much fun! You can just tell how AWESOME this group was by looking at these pics! What do you think? Should we host another Wine and Workshop next spring?!
