Southern Maryland In Home Family Session

November 14, 2019

Buchanan Family

Mark and Jessica met in middle school and started dating their senior year of high school.  They got married in 2009 and will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary this month!! They had their first son in September of 2011 and their second son in July of 2016.  Sadly, Jessica’s Dad passed in November of 2016 and her children would be the ones to help heal her heart.  Mark and Jessica were always set on having 3 children, but this third little one came as a complete surprise! They said they can’t help but feel that Jessica’s dad (along with God, of course!) had a little something to do with this little girl! Big brothers, Cole and Reed, are thrilled to get a sister and the one thing that Jessica said she can’t wait to see is the bond they form in life as siblings!

This little lady’s name is Olive Joann.  Olive has many meanings, emblem of peace such as when one “extends an olive branch”, strong, fearless, charismatic, compassionate, talented and loving to name a few.  Jessica’s Great Grandmother’s name was Mary Olivia Keech.  Joann is a family name on her Mom’s side. Olive Joann will be the 5th generation!  Cole and Reed have already picked many nicknames for their sister, Ollie, Liv, Ollie Jo, Livy Jo and can’t wait to tell her “Olive You!”. You could say that they have been waiting for this moment all their lives!!

Jessica & Mark chose to display their beautiful family portraits in a portrait album and a large wall portrait! How stunning will this black and white frame be in their home?!
