Michelle & Phillip
Okay, I’m going to say this out loud, I LOVE micro weddings! I love the flexibility in the timeline, the fact that you can create over an HOUR of portrait time, have MULTIPLE portrait locations.. it’s a photographer’s dream! Michelle and Phillip’s classic summer Solomons wedding at Cove Point Lighthouse was no exception.
Michelle & Phillip met through a mutual friend at work. They were friends for almost 2 years before pursuing anything more! But once they took that step, they were inseparable! Phillip proposed on their trip out to California in May 2018. He knows how much Michelle loves being near the water (which makes complete sense from growing up in Solomons) and he found a marina near Santa Barbara where he proposed!
Their original plan was to exchange vows in May 2020, but COVID forced them to reschedule to 2021 for their reception. They didn’t want to wait more than a year to get married, so they said “I do” under the lighthouse at Cove Point where Michelle grew up as a little girl with their immediate family! They spared no details with this classic elopement in Southern Maryland. They had their first dance under the Cove Point Lighthouse, had portraits taken all over Solomon’s Island and at the Calvert Marine Museum, they even hopped on board a sailboat! Now, we can’t wait to celebrate with them next September!
