Danny & Laura
When Laura called us, we knew that we HAD to be hers and Danny’s wedding photographers. We instantly clicked right away – you could literally hear her smile when she spoke about Danny. We knew that we needed to choose a location that was laid back, fun, and would allow THEM to shine – so Newtowne Neck State Park immediately jumped out as the perfect location for this summer engagement session!
Danny and Laura met at Safeway where they both used to work in 2007. After Danny asked Laura out a few times throughout the years, she FINALLY said yes (we love the determination!!) and they began dating October 2011. After SEVEN years of dating, on January 11, 2019, Danny asked Laura to marry him.
“The proposal was very Danny-like,” said Laura.
“We went to a brewery with two of our best friends and he carried the ring around all night waiting for the perfect moment. When he felt that moment never came he decided to just create his own moment. When we got home I asked him to grab my bag out of the car, and while I played inside with the dogs I noticed he was taking a while, so I walked outside where he was standing on the porch looking at the sky (we enjoy stargazing). I asked what he was doing and he turned around and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, but the box was empty! (The Danny-like part). This wouldn’t be the first time he faked a proposal to me, so I grabbed the box and walked inside when he said wait! and pulled the ring out from underneath the ring holder in the box. I immediately started crying and asked “Is this really happening? You bought me a ring? You really want to marry me?” And he asked if my answer was yes, which I said “Yes! Of course I’ll marry you!” And that’s us.”
