We’re Married!

December 16, 2016

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Y’all have no idea how hard this was to wait to post our wedding and honeymoon blog posts for the year 2017. I have no patience. None. Zero. This was a huge test, but I made it, and now I get to brag about all of the amazing people who made Tony and I’s wedding literally a dream come true.

Before I even get into the pictures and details, I have to thank all of my amazing friends who played a part in putting this wedding together!

I was actually really proud of myself because I designed our invitation suite and Save the Dates myself! I love doing that kind of stuff for fun! Also, see that shriveled up bouquet with the rubber bands? That was the very first bouquet that Tony gave me. He hand picked the flowers himself!

The penny next to bouquet was the same penny that my grandmother wore in her shoe when she got married, so I got to wear it in mine for good luck, and I will give it to my daughter to give to her daughter. I love traditions!

This mink coat was my great-grandmothers! It even has her monogram sewn in the inside.

Big Ant (Tony’s best man) came into the bridal suite to deliver Tony’s wedding day present to me. Ant always towers over me so these pictures of us hugging are so sweet but also funny!

TONY GOT ME A REVOLVER! I had been eyeing this one for forever and I was so surprised because I was totally expecting a puppy. I can’t even say how happy I was that he got this gun instead because this is something that I can pass down to my children and they will know how it came into the family. Unfortunately, you can’t do that with a puppy!

Tony decided he was going to grow out his beard because he said that he gets first look of me in my dress, then I should get a first look of him too! A beard was the only way he knew how to make himself look different. He is so funny! A HUGE thank you to Jenny from the Loft Salon for making my husband look super handsome and the rest of the men too!

Tony and I both cried like babies during our first look! I have the sweetest man.

My bridesmaid, Marissa, did a wine box ceremony at her wedding and Tony and I loved it so much, we had to do it at ours too! Our MOH’s and Best Man wrote letters to us for us to read on our first anniversary, our parents wrote us letters for our fifth, and Tony and I wrote to each other for our tenth (along with bottles of wine to share over our letters)! I love this idea and can’t wait to read each letter. This box was so fun to make, stain and wood burn.

During cocktail hour, Honeydew Vintage Rentals flipped our ceremony space into a beautiful lounge area for people to mingle. She seriously blew my mind with her ideas and decor. I love her so much! This made for great photo opportunities for the guests.

Our first dance and parents dances were so sweet, I wish they could have lasted forever!

And now, for my favorite reception photos. I loved seeing how happy and how much fun everyone had. Not to mention how BEAUTIFUL every one looked!

 Yes, we had funfetti cake.

Nope, that’s not real snow! It was biodegradable white confetti!

And to leave you with this post, here are my favorite bride and groom portraits of Tony and I! Seriously the most magical day of my life!
