Meridian Hill Park Engagement Session in the Fall

October 19, 2018

Nathan & Katelyn

It takes a special kind of couple to wake up at the crack of dawn, take the metro, walk through the city in the dark before the sun has even risen to meet their photographer at Meridian Hill Park for their engagement session. But, who are we kidding? We’re talking about Nathan and Katelyn here! They ARE a special kind of couple, and quite frankly, they’re OUR kind of couple!

Nathan & Katelyn met online on December 13,2015 and they had their first date at Firefly restaurant in D.C. the VERY next day! The rest is literally history. They hit it off right away and have been inseparable ever since. After almost two years of dating, Nathan proposed at this year’s Cherry Blossom Race in DC on April 8th! They LOVE to run together and they give me tons of motivation to do the same.

They were getting ready to take their traditional “after-race” picture when Nathan got down on one knee and said, “Now that you’re tired and can’t run away, will you marry me?” Being the very sentimental person that Katelyn is, she was already crying when she said, “Yes!” and buried Nathan in a hug before he could even stand up! Obviously, the fellow runners that happened to be passing by as Nathan proposed couldn’t help but say, “Awwww!” AND WE AGREE!! We can’t believe that we are less than six months away from their wedding date and we couldn’t be MORE excited!!
