Usually, I’m the one behind the camera, snagging those magical moments that weave a wedding story. But sometimes, the tables turn, and I get to train my lens on a fellow creative soul. That’s exactly what happened recently when the incredibly talented Molly McCauley, a fine art wedding photographer who straddles the chic energy of LA and the vibrant pulse of NYC, graced our Costola studio for a headshot session.
Our space was brimming with natural light, the perfect canvas for this creative collaboration. Molly perched on a stylish director’s chair – a truly fitting prop for someone who masterfully guides the artistic vision of every wedding she photographs. As I clicked away, it was inspiring to witness her infectious energy and natural confidence in front of the camera
But the fun wasn’t over yet! We switched gears for the next set of shots, and Molly emerged like a vision in a gorgeous olive green dress. We had bathed the background in a deep, rich blue-gray. This cool hue was a deliberate choice – it created a stunning contrast with Molly’s olive green dress. The result? An image that oozed sophistication and understated luxury. The pop of color from her dress stood out beautifully, and the entire composition felt effortlessly elegant. It was the perfect balance of modern and timeless.
The session itself was a blast! We bounced ideas back and forth, letting Molly’s personality shine through every click of the shutter. It was truly inspiring to collaborate with another creative mind, and I can’t wait to see how Molly uses these headshots to elevate her brand.
