Colleen and James’ Engagement Session at Myrtle Point Park

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Colleen and James’ beautiful engagement session at Myrtle Point Park, and let me tell you, it was absolutely magical! If you’re looking for a location that combines natural beauty with versatility, this park truly checks all the boxes. From the stunning scenery to the peaceful vibe, it’s the perfect spot for capturing those intimate moments between you and your partner. Here are my top five reasons why I love Myrtle Point Park as an engagement session location.

Gorgeous Natural Backdrops

Myrtle Point Park is an amazing spot for engagement photos! It has such a variety of settings, from quiet wooden walkways to open sandy shores and lush greenery. During Colleen and James’ session, we had so much fun exploring the park’s trails. We also stopped by the water’s edge and took romantic shots on the boardwalk. Every corner of the park offers something different, making it perfect for couples who want a mix of different looks in their photos.

Whether you’re dreaming of something casual and laid-back or more romantic and dreamy, the park’s natural surroundings offer endless possibilities.

Soft, Natural Lighting

I just love how the light filters through the trees and reflects off the water at Myrtle Point Park. We made sure to capture that soft, golden light, and it really added a warm, romantic feel to their photos. The natural lighting in this park is just perfect for creating those soft, glowing moments that every couple wants in their engagement session.

If you’re considering an outdoor session, you’ll love the abundance of beautiful lighting in this park!

Natural Tones that Complement Your Style

I absolutely loved how perfectly Colleen and James’ outfits matched the natural beauty of the park during the session. Their light, neutral outfits blended so well with the soft greens, sandy tones, and clear skies. It created a wonderfully romantic vibe that made every photo feel effortless and timeless.

The natural tones really helped to highlight the couple. Also, the subtle palette at Myrtle Point Park provided a perfect backdrop that beautifully enhanced the emotions of the day.

A Calm and Relaxed Vibe

As a photographer, one of my main goals is to help couples feel super comfortable in front of the camera. Myrtle Point Park’s peaceful atmosphere does just that. Colleen and James were able to really relax and enjoy the moment. Whether they were holding hands on the boardwalk or sharing a quiet embrace by the water, the park’s serene surroundings helped bring out genuine, intimate moments between them.

If you’re the type of couple who prefers more candid, relaxed shots, this park is ideal. It has a laid-back vibe that allows you to just enjoy being with each other while I capture those authentic, loving moments.

Incorporating Your Pets: A Fun and Memorable Touch

I absolutely loved it when Colleen and James brought their adorable dog to the photo session! Having pets in your engagement photos not only adds personality but also brings an extra level of fun and spontaneity to the session. Their pup was a total star, bringing so much joy and life to the shoot. Whether walking alongside them or hanging out by the water.

If you’re thinking about including your furry friend in your engagement session, Myrtle Point Park is the perfect place to do it. There’s plenty of space for your pet to explore, and it leads to the most heartwarming, candid moments. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to make your photos even more personal and unique.
