A Weekend at Lake Raystown, Pennsylvania
This weekend we headed up to Lake Raystown for our family’s 45th annual reunion! Usually, we have always had our family reunion at a little park beside a river where are family is from in Saxton, Pennsylvania, but because of the increase in numbers of kids, we really wanted to have the 45th reunion at a place where the kids (and adults) can play! So we found Lake Raystown which has a water park, water rentals like paddle boards, jet skis, a beach, a lake trampoline, just to name a few! We even got to camp here all weekend! If only Tony hadn’t had to go and saw off his finger, we would have definitely enjoyed more of the water sports, but that’s okay because it just leaves more for next year! They are even dog friendly so we got to bring all of the fur babies!
Tony brought the drone and the whole family just thought it was the coolest thing. The kids especially loved it!
Every year, the family who came the farthest distance, the oldest male and female, the longest married couple, the youngest male and female, and the newly weds win a gift to celebrate a mile stone in their lives. This year, Tony and I won the newly wed gift! We won the CUTEST Newly Wed’s Cookbook and now Tony wants me to cook a bunch of things, which we all know is not a good idea, but I will certainly try for him! There is a delicious recipe for some pasta dishes that I will love to try! Lastly, we hung out around the camp fire, cooked some sausage and enjoyed the sunset at our cabin!
Where is your favorite place to camp? We’d love to hear about it!
Our favorite trip? Our honeymoon to Italy!
