Summer Engagement at The Wharf

July 24, 2019

Jason & Laura

It’s been a HOT minute since we’ve had an engagement session! And when I mean hot, I mean since the end of June… because summer is usually too HOT to do anything… like too hot to breathe. But this morning was GLORIOUS. Jesus decided he was going to give us 75 and sunny weather for Jason and Laura’s summer engagement at The Wharf in Washington DC this morning and I can say it’s safe to say that none of us were mad about it.

Jason and Laura met at VCU (Andie’s alma mater!). Jason was a Senior and Laura was a Junior at the time. For those of you who do not know about The Wharf, it is this SUPER cute little area in D.C. that has been built up into some of the best restaurants, hotels, concert venues, bars, etc. all on the water right in the heart of the city. This past summer, Jason decided he was going to convince Laura to go to dinner with his boss, when he surprised her with a STUNNING RING right there at the new park in The Wharf!! He even had her sister (another #CostolaBride of ours!) and all of Laura’s friends waiting at a nearby restaurant afterwards to celebrate!! Jason knows how win a gal and all of her BFF’s over – that’s for sure!!

So obviously, it only made sense to go back to The Wharf for their engagement session this morning. Now, the countdown in on for their destination wedding in Cape Cod next year!!!
