Spring Wedding at Decatur House in Washington D.C.

April 1, 2019

Nathan & Katelyn

This wedding has SO many special details to it. I know I’m going to miss a ton because literally every single thing that Katelyn and Nathan included in their wedding day was meaningful and purposeful. Top it off with the fact that it was 80 degrees at the end of March for a spring wedding at the Decatur House in Washington D.C. during peak blooming season – it was truly a magical day and even featured on Washingtonian Weddings!

Both Katelyn and Nathan’s family traveled from far away to be at their wedding and I would easily say that it was worth every single mile spent on the road or in the sky. From Katelyn’s ring and veil being family heirlooms, to the MULTIPLE choreographed dances during the reception, it was one beautiful surprise after another for their family and friends.

Not only that, but we just have never met a couple so CARING. They made speeches during the reception thanking EVERYONE, including the vendors! On a wedding day, it’s so easy to get wrapped up in the day and timeline, but Katelyn and Nathan made it a point to always bring it back to what truly matters – their closest loved ones.

Also, a huge thank you to the following venders who made this wedding so beautiful! Working with you all was beyond a dream!
