Cruise Destination Wedding to Turks and Caicos

August 12, 2019

Anthony & Tori

What to even say! It is always a huge honor when our couple’s ask us to photograph their wedding day. But to think that another one of our couple’s have asked us to travel INTERNATIONALLY to photograph their big day.. on a 7 day long cruise… to Turks and Caicos?! Well, that’s called a dream, y’all. A dream come TRUE!

Tori is a sorority sister of mine (any other AOII ladies out there?), and VCU is also the place where she met the love of her life, Anthony. To think that Tori and Anthony have been dating since they were 20 is crazy! Before they left Richmond to pursue their Masters degrees, Richmond was building this bridge right next to where they were living in the Southside and Tori was hoping it would be done before they moved, but of course it was not. Anthony knew Tori always wanted to go and walk over the James River, so two years later, he proposed to her over the T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge. It was the perfect place especially since Richmond is where is all began! Tori had never seen him so nervous! Now fast forward to this past week and they are officially husband and wife!!

When we arrived on the cruise ship, we went straight to our room to unpack. We had a balcony, which was a life saver, so that we could see the sea at any time of the day. We opened the door to our room to find a whole gift basket compliments of Tori and Anthony! We’re talking champagne, tumbler cups, beach towel clamps, various medicines (lifesavers honestly), clothes, AND MORE. We were so spoiled and immediately felt like one of their family members. The entire trip was so relaxing!

We arrived at Turks and Caicos (Grand Turk to be exact) on a Wednesday, three days into the cruise. A shuttle bus scooped all of the guests up from the port and took us a beautiful intimate resort, right on the ocean. The colors in the water were INCREDIBLE. Bluer than blue. It was stunning! After the wedding reception on the cruise ship, we sneaked out to the top of the ship to soak in the sunset and capture a few more portraits of Tori & Anthony. It was one of our favorite weddings, by far!

A huge thank you to the following vendors and companies who made this day so beautiful!
