A Weekend In Paris

October 25, 2019

Paris, France

Greetings from Paris!! I arrived in Paris on Friday morning, immediately checked into the hotel (Holiday Inn Paris St. Germaine), unpacked my bags, took a shower, and got back out on the sidewalks to walk around Paris. I only had a weekend in Paris before I left for the countryside, so I wanted to make the most of it.

I’m also including a WALKING MAP with food and cafe recommendations. Make sure to bookmark this page for the next time you plan a trip to Paris!

I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I made myself one amazing itinerary for this trip. I just had to share it with you!! Here is everything that I did during my weekend in Paris.

Day One

Walk to Rue des Rosiers

Boot Cafe – One of the most instagrammed store fronts and for a reason! It is the cutest little coffee shop that, honestly, I couldn’t figure out how to get into (that must have been a sight for everyone sitting IN the glass shop). It was made into a coffee shop after it was an old cobbler shop. The coffee is amazing and the people who work there were really nice.

Walk by Place des Vosges – Originally the Place Royal, a grand square in the heart of the Marais complete with fountains, street lamps, and plenty of grass for picnicking.

Walk by Cour Damoye – A magical, time warp of a passage. Sometimes it is locked, but often times a friendly local will let you in…worth the risk!

Walk by Passage L’Homme – A magical, hidden passage with an old toy shop & cobblestones.

Walk by Rue Crémieux. This street reminded me so much of our American version – Rainbow Row in Charleston, South Carolina! This street is actually more impressive though because the whole STREET is like that!

Go to Eiffel Tower for sunset. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much of a sunset because of the clouds, but it was beautiful regardless!

Day Two

Luxembourg Gardens

Pont Neuf – A beautiful view of the Seine as it rolls by.

Pont des Arts – where the love locks are

Louvre Museum

Tuileries Garden

Palais-Royal – Stripey column installations

Galerie Vivienne – covered passage near the Palais Royale. A must stop…and don’t forget to photograph the beautiful, old book shop inside too!

Walk to Passage du Grand Cerf – A beautiful, grand covered passage

River Dinner Cruise from The Bateaux Parisiens.

Walk to the Eiffel Tower to see it twinkle on the hour!
