A Nautical Engagement in Pasadena

June 27, 2019

Emma & Jeff

Third time’s the charm with these two! We had to reschedule their engagement session a few times, but I think it’s safe to say it was worth it. I met up with Emma and Jeff at their marina in Pasadena so we could head out onto the water for their session! I absolutely love when couples want to do something unique and special to who they are and this was the definition of that.

Jeff proposed on this lake, on this boat, in the same spot where we were last night! And to add to the specialness of the whole thing, Jeff’s parents joined us on the water to give us not one, but TWO, boats to take pictures on. Plus, I hardly ever get to meet parents before a wedding day, and I got to get to know Jay and Maureen in their natural habitat…on the lake.

The way these two interact is a joy to watch. They are so playful and fun, but also incredibly intimate and romantic. It was like I didn’t even need to pose them, they were just so naturally perfect at loving one another! And to top it all off, we finished the session IN the water. In flamingo floaties. With their dog, Lucy. I’m so glad we got to capture the genuine Emma and Jeff and I cannot wait for their wedding in September!

xoxo,

Marie
