The Ingagliatos

24 Hours in New Orleans, Louisiana

October 1, 2019

The Ingagliatos

We were in New Orleans this past weekend – for essentially 24 hours! We flew down to New Orleans Friday night to celebrate Candace’s 30th birthday! We got in just in time to drop our bags and head out to experience the terrifying Bourbon Street. This was something on everyone’s bucket list, but none of us would ever recommend anyone ever going there. Ever. It was a nightmare! Way too many drunk people, it smelled awful, but that is just what Bourbon Street is, apparently. So the locals told us to head to Frenchman Street! This area was INCREDIBLE. So many great little bars, amazing jazz music, the vibe was just RIGHT. Plus the French architecture never disappoints!

The next day we woke up and headed to breakfast. After that, we just strolled around the French Quarter. We HAD to stop at Cafe Du Monde to experience their amazing beignets. They. were. so. delicious. I wish I could have eaten a million of those things! But we had a big dinner waiting for us – on a river cruise! We hopped aboard the New Orleans Steamboat Company cruise and had an all-you-can-eat buffet on the Mississippi River while overlooking the New Orleans skyline! It was the best way to end the trip!

P.S. All of these pictures were taken with the new IPhone 11 Pro! The camera on this phone is so great – I loved being able to capture our trip without having to bring our expensive equipment into bars haha!
